Old Fashioned Meatloaf

- 1tbsp butter
- 3 celery ribs finely chopped
- 1/2 an onion chopped
- 2lb lean ground beef
- 2tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2c italian breadcrumbs
- 1/3c ketchup
- 1tsp greek seasoning
- 1tsp garlic powder
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 8oz tomato sauce
- 3tbsp tomato paste
- 1tbsp ketchup
The Steps
- Melt butter in skillet over medium heat and add celery and onion and saute for 7 minutes.
- Stir celery mixture, ground beef, 1tbsp worcestershire, breadcrumbs, ketchup, greek, garlic and eggs in a large bowl.
- Form into 10x5 loaf and place on a lightly greased broiler rack and place over aluminum foil lined pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes
- Stir remaining 1tbsp worcestershire, tomato sauce, tomato paste and 1tbsp of ketchup until blended.
- Pour mixture over meatloaf and bake 10-15 more minutes.
- Let stand 10 minutes before carving.
