Chicken Sausage and White Bean Stew Recipe
2017-11-02Wow! This flavor is amazing. I put a little cayenne pepper in my bowl at serving time.
The Ingredients
- 12-oz package pre-cooked chicken sausage sliced
- 6 carrots coarsely chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon table salt
- 1 teaspoon rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 14 1/2-oz cans fire-roasted diced tomatoes
- 4 (15.8-oz) cans great Northern beans, drained and rinsed
- 6-oz frozen cut-leaf spinach
- 5 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
- 12-oz water
The Steps
- Place carrot and onion in a slow cooker
- Sprinkle with salt, rosemary, and pepper
- Layer tomatoes and beans over carrot mixture
- Top with sausage and water
- Cover and cook on Low 8 hours or until vegetables are tender
- Stir in spinach and bacon and cook 10 minutes
